SKIN CANCER
Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer and is often the result of sun exposure and sun damage to the skin (although not always). There are a number of different types of skin cancer, the three most common being basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. In general, they are a very treatable cancers if dealt with early.
Different treatment options exist depending on the type, location, and size of the skin cancer. These may include topical treatments, radiation therapy, and surgical excision. Each of these has advantages and disadvantages which are discussed at your consultation appointment.
